Great job guys. So far this has been the big event with our direct participation and which grabbed headline news. I hope with this coverage, the Senators turn their heads towards legal immigration. Kudos to Aman, Tracy Hong, Shilpa and other core team members who are sacrificing their time and money by representing IV.

Congratulation to all EB2 who are getting their approvals. Have a wonderful post-GC life :)

When will, we EB3s (India), see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Looks like (in my case) after waiting for more than 5 years it will still take 3-4 years. I am mad

If you can try for it that will make your GC faster.

I am a nurse from the Philippines currently living in northern California, enrolled in university, working towards my masters degree. I currently have a F1 student visa, have already passed the NCLEX and also hold a Philippines RN license. I don't have any work experience as a nurse besides my clinical experience as a student. I wanted to know what my current options are? I have a company willing to sponsor me on the east coast. I was referred to them by my sister-in-law who is currently working for them. I spoke to the companies recruiter but she couldn't answer some of my more detailed immigration questions.

I just wanted to get some options from some helpful members here. I currently have an appointment with an immigration lawyer next week but wanted to be somewhat inform on my options before meeting with the lawyer.

I know their is a long wait currently for nurses coming from the Philippines. Does it make my situation a little easier considering I am already in the US on a F1 visa? I was told that if they were to lift retrogression for nurses that I would be process asap because I am currently living in the US legally... I seriously have my doubts about this lol.

Any insight on my current situation is much appreciate.

    Thank you all very much,

    Sheryn:)

Immigration gurus, need your advice ASAP

my current H1B visa expires 03/07 . If I can fill for extension and while petion is pending with USCIS for processing can I travel outside USA ?

I asked lawyer to apply for extension first week of september . I have I140 approved and he will request 3 years increment .

my job requires traveling outside USA and I'm wonder if I can travel back and forth until petition is approved .

I know that after approval I need to get visa stamp .

Your quick inputs will be highly appreciated

    thank you in advance

MS + Zero exp = I doubt if any one out there

Hmm.. I though many people are there.. bumerr...

Anyways.. I am shooting for EB2 category as I have my MS.. Few of my freinds here in office have applied for GC , but all of them have applied with MS + 1 atleast... I was kinda worried as my JOb code falls under JOb zone 4, how will i qualify for EB2 even though only having MS does qulaify for applying EB2..

I know.. that a position should require MS or BS +5...rather than one having that degree..

I was just wondering if there are some people who have applied under EB2 category with MS +0 experience....

Thank you every1 for your prompt responses...

You need to get another attorney, first and foremost. Sorry its a bit harsh, but it's for your best. There might be problems later and you need to ask yourself-- is this attorney (who apparently didnot go through the case before filing) giving you what you paid for?

I received my Labor Certificate with PERM process. Right now, I can't continue the process for I-140 and I-485. My lawyer just found out that my degree is Master of Business Administration, while the Labor Certificate is based on Master of Science. My current position is Software Engineer.

    My questions are:
    1. Is there a problem of having an MBA and working as a software engineer? As my understanding, MBA and MSc are the same level.
    2. Can I continue the case since I already got my Labor Certificate?

I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

I am in the same boat. Filed EAD on DEC 10 2010 with TSC and still waiting. Contacted USCIS Customer Support and create Expedite Request last Friday. I was told that I will hear back in 5 days. Will post back if I hear anything.

    Guys,

Today I saw a weird online status sequence for my spouse's EAD. At first when I checked it said that "card production has been ordered. Please wait 30 days to receive it." I checked again after couple of hours and the online status reverted back to the usual receipt notice status which says something like this

" On August 10, 2007, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice."

This was the message I was receiving when I got the receipts initially.

But for my EAD today it is says "card production ordered...." and this message is still being displayed whenever I check it. So I am not sure why for my spouse's EAD the status went from "card production ordered" to previous receipt notice status.

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion. When it comes to opinions, though, there's a difference between the majority wow gold (http://www.wowpl.de), of people and celebrities like actors, athletes, and rock stars. If you're an average person, only your family and friends care about your opinion. If you’re famous, the whole world listens, or so it seems sometimes. Is this the way if should be? I don't think so. We shouldn't pay attention to famous people's opinions just because of who they are. Being a famous basketball player doesn't make someone an expert on environmental issues. However, that basketball player has a better opportunity to be heard than most wow gold (http://www.wowleveln.de), people do. If that player feels very strongly about an issue, he can use his fame to draw attention to it and get other people involved. That way they can saw attention and needed dollars to that issue. My wife was allowed to travel on BA when she went from US to India. But when we were returning to US, the ticketing agent in India would not issue bording pass because Canadian PR can only be used if you are travelling to Canada and NOT to USA. The ticketing manager even called someone in London Airport to get the confirmation and after that they just denied my request even after showing the document that says Canada PR issues after Apr 2005 does not require transit visa.

I would say, get the visa to be on the safeside so that there will not be any troubles in the last minute.

Thanks deba and kk_kk...for sharing your expereince...based on what you guys say, the cheap deal i get with BA is not worth taking this risk. I am giving up on London transit..i will take Lufthansa or pacific route....thanks a lot again....

One of my buddies got his GC approved yesterday and his Priority Date is June 2005, EB2 India. I am here waiting since 2004 March to file for my I485. There are no methods to USCIS Madness.

How was he able to file for 485?

I filed paper last year by myself (no additional $150) ... it's really easy .. only filled some basic questions .. I like paper because all my documents will be on the same envelope :D

online filing you still need to send some documents via mail.

will do the same this year (paper filing)..

Paper is at least $150 more (lawyer fee), but saves your visit to INS office for finger printing.
