As i understand it it may take upto 6 mons and may even take upto a year. Is that a safe bet? to I am planning on a vacation in Dec and i hate to be in limbo. My wife's I-140 has been approved and we are in the worldwide category.
So what do you guys think, should i just go ahead and book the tickets now or should i wait to see what happens in Oct? I would like your opinions however contrary :D

Illegal non-immigrants did the rally to local USCIS offices. It would be good if we pick one day in 2nd week of July and have a rally to local USCIS offices. This will immediately catch the media attention.
Rally news should be spread out to media so we can get enough coverage?

Hi,
I am currently on H1b and had recently filed papers for transfer from employer A to employer B. I have got the email from USCIS that my case has been approved and that documents will be delivered soon.
My H1b transfer has been accepted for 01/01/2010. My date of joining the new job is 01/04/2010. My original H1b with company A is still valid till Oct 2009.
Since I have to give my old employer a two weeks notice to resign. If I give my notice around 12/21/2009 (notice period of leaving by 01/04/2010) and my employer relieves (terminates) me immediately will I be out of status at any time?
Also, My green card process is going to start soon. Is it going to affect me as I am worried that I might be out of visa status from 12/21/2009 to 01/01/2010.
Please suggest. I need to make a decision in few day.
Would greatly appreciate a response.

The AP document should say that you can be paroled until ABC date. That is the expiration of the AP.

This Unique Id is good for everyone, T.N.Seshan was recommending this way back in 1988. but the Present Ruling party at that time never agreed because they cannot do hacking polling booths but now it is all very easy.. Guess what.... the EVM electronic voting machines! get rid of that first go back to ballot papers, see who wins and who looses and how people of India are enlightened about the politics. Are you referring to Silverlight? If so, there is currently no easy way of doing that outside of you manually breaking text apart into two separate text block entries.

Hi Please help...
My last day at my job will be Feb 2nd.(COmpany A)
I have filed for h1b transfer with company B .But I am asked that i can only join company B after h1b approval(not with reciept).I will be in legal status while in process.(COS)
Now in the meantime if I find a job with company C (while my h1b transfer with company B is in process) ...can i transfer my h1b again while h1b trasnfer with company B is in process and company A has sent revoking notice.

Hi Forum,
My wife has an H1B visa which has been invalidated now because she had to travel to US with me on H4. Her petition seem to be valid. The I94 in her passport has H4 mentioned on it. Now we want to convert her visa back to H1. Since she has H1, I am wondering the H4 to H1 conversion process should be easier compare to applying fresh H1.
It would be great if you guys let me know what is the process of converting this without going back to home country.
I appreciate your help

I have a question about H1B transfer. I joined a company A on h1b in may 2005 and did an H1B transfer on july 2006 to company B. Now INS has sent an RFE (for company B financial). I have submitted all the relevant documents when I joined company B for H1B transfer so my credentials are crystal clear. Now when the comhpany B sends a response to INS and if H1B does not get approved. Would I be able to do an H1B transfer to any other company. I spoke to one company they are saying that since the RFE is on the company's credibility so they can do an transfer provided if we submit all the paystubs which we got from company B. I have been working for a client and have all the recent paystubs. Please advice.
