I voted on this. But I did not see any vote for elimination of country qouta in EB immigration system. We need that topic on change.gov and should vote heavily in favour of it.

I mean from AUG 1st the CURRENT status may vanish... who knows ?
NEBRASKA is currently processing 485 submitted as of Sep 26 2006 which means the backlog is of 1 yr 9 months.....

My attorney tells me they don't give employees copies of labor applications.
Is this normal? Would I need it in future - if I switch jobs 180 days after 485 etc?
My lawyer sends each and every piece of information. They sent 9089 for review,797 for labor also. They sent me the original approved labor certificate for my signature to file for 140. and also 797 copy for 140.
Though the employer processes labor and 140, Employee should ensure the accuracy of the information on all the applications. Employer should not deny for this.
These employers that abuse employees need to learn some lessons on how to treat their employees.
I think IV needs to take an inititave on these small scale body shopping employers who are not treating their employers with respect and the dignity they deserve.

The whole non-compete agreement is a cruel joke on the employee who finds his own project. All these incapable bad desi employers ban the employee from joining the client whom the employee got them in the first place.
I know a friend of mine works for an employer, he found his own project through a vendor, now because of non-compete agreement he cannot join the client, nor the vendor and now the employer and vendors are buddies and thinking of other business opportunities. In all this the employee is the loser while it was he who brought the employer and vendor together into minting more money at his expense.
This is especially true of smaller companies. Big companies at least have real end clients and find projects. With smaller companies, employee finds projects, helps build client list for his company, gets paid less than market rate, etc.
If the GC process were smoother, a lot of such employers would shut down. Their business model is helped by the immigration mess....

I filed for labor cert in april 28, 2004 and I now have all approved including I-140. My I-485 receipt date is July 3, 2007 in Nebraska. Does teh July 19 date USCIS is showing mean I will get my green card soon. What should I expect moving forward and what type of timeline?

1. I would like to believe that all visa numbers include the dependents etc .. since USCIS has the numbers.
2. At the same time .. maybe 245i is kicking in .. else the priority dates would be different

this category is to deal with starting and doing business in USA... no place in the first place to cry and vent depression of your brain and your friends brains... though annoyed with it, i respect your post and respectfully ask you to take it elsewhere... i wont respond to flame from you...

Please reach out to your friends in times of difficulty....the world is not going to end if you don't have a job OR if you there are delays in getting your GC..the world is a wonderful place and still full of opportunity - to add value, to help others etc...you may need to reach out to your friends for help to find your calling or the next opportunity....please don't be desperate....and please ask for help. we all have so many things to be happy and thankful for...
